Pondering what I should do with my hair again, I want to get some more natural highlights through it in prepartation for my wedding. I've already tried out the Ombre technique, which I loved for more of a dramatic look. My beauty guru mate, Kirsty, suggested I check out Balayage Highlights. So for those of you that are in dark (like I was) Balayage is a hair coloring technique which is designed to create that natural grown out sun kissed highlights, without the noticeable roots. Instead of using foils, the highlights are
painted on by hand. At the base, the color is applied very lightly, while
at the tip, the color is very heavy.
Natural sunkissed locks with less regrowth...I'm in!

Going to the chapel...
Very excited...we've finally finished our Save the Dates - with a little help from our friends. My bestie, Susi, drew the cartoon characters of Vas and I...I had to add his chest hair! I drew the clothes and coloured them up on Photoshop (nice to find a use for my course!) and Tim, Vas' mate made it appear online in a drag and drop format - I LOVE IT.

Fishtail Plait
I've always wanted to learn how to do a fishtail Plait - now my hair is looooong I've going to give this a try...
1. Part your hair into two even sections. 2. Take a small strand of hair - it's best to take it from underneath so it wraps around the entire section - from one section and bring it over to the other side. Ensure your strands of hair aren't too large - or it will end up looking like a regular plait. 3. Repeat with the other section. 4. Continue with steps 3 & 3 until the plait is finished. 5. If you want a messier, fatter plait - lightly ruffle edges...hey presto!

B Squad Night
I had my first of many bridesmaids nights. Wanted to make it
a little bit special so enlisted the help of my chiefy Kirsty to help me
perform another potential craft fail! I’d been on Pinterest to get a little bit
of inspiration and came across this lovely balloon idea from http://lovelygreenlifestyle.blogspot.co.uk

Kirsty and I made up some cupcakes, spent the whole night
watching them explode all over the oven and then trying to ice them, scraping
off the icing, having another go…scraping it off, watching a ‘How to ice’
video, retyring, scraping it off again and finally settling on using a spatula to
pile it on! We found that by sticking a berry and a little flag on top seemed
to help no end!
My gorgeous bridesmaids paid for me to have my makeup done…
I’m gutted that there were no photos taken from the night or of my makeup –
will definitely take more at the next one.

NINE INCH NAILS
I spend far too much time browsing through pages and pages of nail art. I've got sooo many pots of different colours and really think it's about time that I put my creativity to use, once I get myself one of these Models Own Nail Art Pen there's going to be no stopping me.

Moss Grafitti
How to make moss grafitti...you will need - One or two clumps (about a small handful) of moss
2 cups of buttermilk
You can also substitute with yogurt (vegan yogurt can be used)
2 cups of water (or beer)
1/2 tsp. sugar
Corn syrup (optional)
to make:-
1. Gather up as much moss as you can find. 2. Wash the moss to get as much soil out of the roots as possible. 3. Break moss up and add to a blender along with the the other ingredients - whiz it up until its smooth and a paint like texture. 4. Use a paint brush to paint onto desired wall etc.

1 of your 5 a day
What a simple, yet affective idea... ceramic bowls molded from vegetables. The designers mischer'traxler dye the bowls to match the veggie they came from. The bowls are called 'Reverse Volumes' for obvious reasons and needless to say each bowl is a unique shape since no veggie / fruit are exactly the same.
I wouldn't like to be the one with the task of washing the cauliflour bowl.

Top of the POPS!
Thought I'd share a couple of my favourite album covers - as a kid I used flick through all my dads vinyl and dream of being the woman from Roxy Music's album cover! My sister and I also used to unzip the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers whilst collasping on the floor in a fit of giggles.

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
In order to celebrate International Women's Day we all decided to have a right old girlie night and booked in for a mate to come over and paint all our nails with Shellac. I'd heard of it before and was curious to how it looked - I'm not a big fan of fake nails and like to keep mine short and neat, so this was perfect for me.
They have a good range of colours and the results are amazing, mirror shine and chip free for 14 days - my kind of nail varnish! I went for the beautiful bright red and can't stop staring at how perfect they are!
